Purpose

The Digital Ravi is committed to producing useful, accurate, and valuable digital content while developing sustainable reader-supported revenue.

This policy establishes the principles and operating standards for generating revenue from readers while protecting content quality, transparency, reader trust, privacy, and editorial independence.

The purpose of the Reader Revenue program is to build long-term relationships with readers rather than relying solely on advertising or one-time transactions.

02

Reader Revenue Model

The Digital Ravi may generate reader revenue through one or more of the following:

Paid subscriptionsPremium membershipsDonations Paid guides & reportsOnline coursesPremium newsletters Webinars & workshopsDownloadable productsConsulting services Disclosed affiliate revenueCompliant sponsorships

The specific revenue model may change according to audience demand and business requirements.

03

Editorial Independence

Reader revenue must not compromise the integrity of published content. Revenue considerations must not determine:

  • Whether legitimate editorial content is published
  • The factual conclusions of an article
  • Product or service reviews
  • Coverage of companies or organizations
  • Search-engine-oriented editorial decisions that compromise accuracy
  • The inclusion or removal of legitimate criticism

Commercial partners, advertisers, subscribers, and paying members must not receive editorial control over independent content. Where commercial relationships exist, they must be clearly separated from editorial content.

04

Content Standards

The Digital Ravi will aim to publish content that is:

AccurateUsefulOriginalClearly written Relevant to the audienceResponsible & transparentUpdated when facts change

Where appropriate, articles should identify sources and distinguish factual information from personal opinions, recommendations, analysis, or promotional material.

Corrections should be made when significant factual errors are identified.

05

Reader Value

Paid products and services should provide meaningful value to readers. Examples include:

  • In-depth guides and exclusive tutorials
  • Premium resources and downloadable templates
  • Research and analysis
  • Members-only content and exclusive newsletters
  • Educational materials and practical digital marketing resources
  • Expert interviews
No artificial paywalls. The Digital Ravi should avoid placing ordinary information behind a paywall solely to pressure readers into paying.
06

Subscription & Membership Transparency

Before completing a purchase, readers should be able to understand:

  • Price and billing frequency
  • Subscription duration
  • Trial period, if applicable
  • Renewal terms
  • Cancellation process and refund terms
  • What content or services are included
  • Any additional charges

Pricing should be presented clearly and without intentionally confusing readers.

07

Free & Premium Content

The Digital Ravi may use a combination of free and premium content.

Free content may be used to

  • Introduce readers to the publication
  • Provide useful educational information
  • Build search visibility
  • Develop audience trust
  • Encourage newsletter subscriptions

Premium content may provide additional depth, resources, tools, research, or other benefits. The distinction between free and paid content should be clear.

08

Cancellation & Refunds

  • Readers should be able to cancel recurring subscriptions without unreasonable difficulty.
  • The cancellation process should be clearly communicated.
  • Refund requests should be handled consistently according to the published refund policy and applicable consumer-protection requirements.
  • If a subscription automatically renews, the renewal terms should be disclosed before purchase.
